In August, 1994, we installed our inground pool and purchased a basketball goal system the following spring. We found ourselves doing more out of the pool "fetching the ball" than enjoying the play. So I decided to fix the problem and began building prototypes of varying height and width, different size netting and pipe sizes to come up with a truly functional backstop which can be assembled easily and quickly without tools..instructions included.

This backstop is 8 feet wide, 25 inches deep, and 6 feet tall. The netting is made of high tenacity twisted and knotted black nylon. All components are made to last for years of swimming pool use.
